Step1:DefinetheStory

Step2:SketchtheShots
Thenextstepistosketchouttheshotsforeachscene.Thisinvolvescreatingavisualrepresentationofeachkeyshotthatyouidentifiedinthepreviousstep.YoucanusepencilandpaperoradigitaldrawingprogramsuchasAdobePhotoshoporSketchtocreateyoursketches.
Whensketchingyourshots,youshouldfocusoncreatingaclearvisualrepresentationofwhatwillbeshownonthescreen.Thisincludesthecomposition,cameraangle,lighting,andanyimportantdetailssuchaspropsorbackgroundelements.
Step3:AddAnnotationsandNotes
Onceyouhavesketchedoutyourshots,youshouldaddannotationsandnotestoprovidefurtherinformationabouteachshot.Thiscanincludedetailssuchascameramovements,dialogue,soundeffects,andtransitions.Theseannotationsandnoteswillhelpyoutorememberimportantdetailswhenyouarefilmingoranimatingyourproject.
Youmayalsowanttocreateashotlistorashootingschedulebasedonyourstoryboard.Thiswillhelpyoutostayontrackduringproductionandensurethatyoucapturealloftheshotsthatyouneed.
