A Declaration of Knights
The Past:
The legend of knights goes back centuries, to a time when honor, courage and chivalry were revered above all else. Knights were sworn to protect the innocent, defend the weak, and uphold justice and order. They were noble men who lived by a strict code of conduct, valuing integrity, compassion and selflessness.
The Present:
In modern times, the world has changed. Technology has advanced, and society has evolved. But the values of knighthood remain just as relevant today as they ever were. We believe that honor, courage and chivalry are not outdated concepts, but vital principles that we should all strive to live by.
The Future:
We declare ourselves to be knights of the 21st century. We pledge to uphold the values of our forebears, and to use our power and influence for the greater good. We believe that the world can be made a better place through acts of kindness, empathy and compassion. We will stand up for what is right, and protect those who cannot protect themselves.
The Knight's Code:
As modern knights, we follow a code of ethics that reflects the values of chivalry. This code includes:
- Honor: We always act with integrity, doing what is right even when no one is watching. We keep our word and show respect to all.
- Courage: We face our fears with bravery, standing up for what is right even in the face of adversity. We do not back down from a challenge.
- Chivalry: We treat others with kindness, empathy and respect, especially those who are weaker than ourselves. We offer our aid to those in need without expecting anything in return.
The Knight's Oath:
We swear to uphold the code of knighthood, and to use our strength and influence to make the world a better place. We will live with honor, courage and chivalry, and will always strive to do what is right. We are knights, and we are proud.
\"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.\" - Friedrich Nietzsche
