TheNokiaN9featuredastate-of-the-artdesigncomprisinga3.9-inchAMOLEDdisplaywitharesolutionof480x854pixels.ThecurvedGorillaGlassblendedseamlesslyintotheslimpolycarbonateshell.TheN9wasavailableinarangeofstunningcolorssuchasblack,cyan,andmagenta.Thesingle-pieceplasticbodyofthedevicefeltsolidandsturdyinhand,andithadaunibodydesign-ararityinthosedays.Thephone'scameramoduleprotrudedalittlefromthebackpanel,butitstilllookedfantastic.
TheMeeGoOSExperience
TheNokiaN9wasthefirstandonlysmartphonethatranonMeeGoOS,whichwasajointeffortbetweenNokiaandIntel.TheLinux-basedOSoffersmoothnavigation,runapplicationsseamlessly,andprovidedabuttery-smoothuserexperience.Theuserinterfacewasintuitive,andtheOSwasrelativelycustomizablecomparedtootherplatforms.However,theMeeGooperatingsystemnevergotthetractionitdeserved,andNokiaeventuallyabandonedit.

TheNokiaN9wasarobustdeviceforitstime,housinga1GHzprocessorthatprovidedsnappyperformance.Thedevicecamewith1GBofRAM,whichwasaconsiderableamountatthetime,andthe8MPCarlZeissrearcamerawithautofocus,whichofferedagoodphotographyexperience.Despitetherelativelysmallbatterycapacityof1450mAh,thephonelastedforadecentamountoftime,thankstothebattery-savingcapabilitiesoftheMeeGoOS.
Overall,theNokiaN9packedalotintermsofdesign,built,andfunctionalityatthattime.Thoughithadsomesetbacks,thephonestillleftalastingimpressionamongNokiaenthusiastsandbecameamilestonefortheFinnishcompany'scomebackstory.TheN9wasatestamenttoNokia'scapabilitiesandresilienceadaptabilitytochangingtimes.
